D'une impressionnante couleur rouge ambrée, le Corton Maréchaudes GC 1924, est tout aussi remarquable au nez où il déploie son caractère épicé. Il a vieilli remarquablement et sa fraîcheur toujours vibrante lui confère beaucoup de vie
Impressively rich amber-red, with fragrant, remarkable spiciness on the nose. This has aged magnificently, and its vibrant freshness keeps it very much alive. AH
MILLESIME: Le printemps et le début de l'été furent très favorables à la vigne; la floraison se fit par un temps superbe et l'avance de la végétation permit au raisin de supporter sans dommage des périodes atmosphériques moins propices et d'atteindre une maturité satisfaisante. Une vendange tardive donna des raisins d'une bonne richesse alcoolique, fins et corsés, mais un peu tanniques. Somme toute, une bonne année moyenne. Maurice Marion. VINTAGE: Spring and early summer favoured vineyard development, and flowering took place in superb weather. This good start to the season helped the vegetation to withstand some inclement moments, and the grapes reached satisfactory maturity. The harvest was late, giving good alcohol levels and wines of body and finesse, though a little tannic. All in all, a good average year.
