With wing tips projecting from sides of body, rounded knob feet, remains of white slip and red painted decoration, 4 in. (10.2 cm.) long; a Roman terracotta duck with head tucked in and wings held back, aperture on central back, the plumage finely detailed in relief, circa 1st Century B.C./A.D., 3 5/8 in.
