The LMS Class 6P 4-6-0 locomotive and tender No.6170 'British Legion'
scratch built by G. Holt, with external details including fluted motion, cylinder drains and pipes, brake and sanding gear, lubricators and pipes, fine pipework, riveting, firebox washout plugs, glazed cab windows, scale cab and backhead fittings, steps, hand and lamp irons and lamps. Tender details include brake gear, pick-up scoop, watercock, tool box, tank filler cap and vents, fine rivet detail, steps, hand and lamp irons. Finished in LMS livery by L. Goddard -- 9.5 x 46.5cm. (3¾ x 18¾in.)

Lot Essay

This model is of the taper boiler rebuild of the experimental LMS 4-6-0 No.6399 'Fury' and became the prototype for the rebuilt 'Royal Scot' class.
