A GERMAN SILVER DISH AND CUP AND COVER
THE DISH DANZIG, CIRCA 1680, MAKER'S MARK MP CONJOINED; THE CUP PROBABLY 17TH CENTURY
The dish circular, on three scroll feet, the center repousse and chased with Cupid holding a basket of fruit within foliate band and outer band of scrolls, flowers and foliage, marked on body; together with a cup on lobed foot chased with strapwork, with vase-shaped stem, the bowl with lobes engraved with names, dates and emblems, with scroll strapwork between, the cover with name and date 1668 and warrior finial, the cup apparently unmarked
The dish 7 1/8 in. (18 cm.) diameter, the cup 11¼ in. (28.5 cm.) high; 11 oz. (343 gr.) (2)
