A delightful, skilfully-executed work by an amateur botanist, drawing upon the works of William Curtis (1746-99), James Sowerby (1757-1822), Thomas Martyn (1735-1825) and Philip Miller (1691-1771). Closely following the format of The Botanical Magazine, each plant study is accompanied by descriptive text. Genera described include Aloe, Cactus, Fuschia, Geranium and Passiflora.
