CRUCHLEY, MAP-SELLER, GLOBE MAKER & PUBLISHER 81 FLEET STREET (c.1868), made up of two sets of eighteen hand-coloured engraved split half-gores, the equatorial graduated in degrees in both directions, hours and minutes, the four meridians graduated in degrees, the ecliptic graduated in days of the month and twelve times 1-30° for the houses of the Zodiac, with sigils, the oceans with an analemma, the Newfoundland Bank and some notes by islands such as I. Grande of la Roche 1675 its existence doubted, Antarctica with some stretches of partial coastline with notes and dates concerning discovery, the continents with nation states delicately shaded and outlined in red, green, blue and orange and showing fine detailing including towns, cities, rivers, mountains, caravan routes and the Great Wall of China, with Canada showing native American territories, Alaska shown as American (1867), the Suez Canal not shown (1869);

CRUCHLEY, MAP-SELLER & GLOBE MAKER, 81, FLEET STREET with an explanation of the stars' labelling beneath, made up of two sets of eighteen hand-coloured engraved split half-gores laid to the ecliptic poles, the equatorial graduated in degrees, hours and minutes, the four colures graduated in degrees, the ecliptic graduated in days of the month and twelve times 1-30° for the houses of the Zodiac, with sigils and twilight zone, the constellations depicted by mythical beasts and figures and scientific instruments in yellow on a green ground and also with dotted boundaries, the stars shown to nine orders of magnitude with clusters and nebulae and variously labelled according to the catalogue of their source, some named;
both spheres with an engraved brass hour dial and stamped meridian ring, the hand-coloured engraved horizon graduated in degrees of amplitude and azimuth with compass directions, and Zodiac and calendar scales, raised on a tripod stand with ring-turned baluster support and downswept legs terminating in paw feet
