Accompanied by Patek Philippe Certificat d'Origine et de Garantie and Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with stainless steel case, pink gold bezel and pink dial with applied numerals and tachymeter scale in 1943 and its subsequent sale on 28 November 1945.
The simple chronograph reference 130 was the first chronograph wristwatch fitted with a caliber 13''' movement and in production from 1936 until 1964.
The model was produced in different precious metal versions as well as in stainless steel, very few examples in stainless steel and gold. It is interesting to note that the lugs of the stainless steel version are different from the yellow, pink or white gold ones. Their slightly thicker but shorter design as well as the slightly larger diameter of 34 mm. as opposed to the 33 mm. of the precious metal model gives the watch a rather tonneau-shaped design and a more sportive, robust and masculine look.
The present watch is believed to be part of a series of less than six watches known of this reference in stainless steel with pink bezel and probably the only example with a two-tone pink dial to appear on the market to date.
With its sharp edges, the immaculate satin finish to the case enhanced by the attractive combination of a pink bezel and dial, this watch represents a true collector's piece. The fact that the original certificate is still available further underlines its importance.
