Circa 1880, blue crossed swords marks, incised N. 134b, impressed 25 and 110, the movement stamped Lenzkirch, A.G.U. and numbered 605092 and 41
Of classic architectual form enamelled en grisaille accented by pastel colours in the Renaissance Limoges taste with scholarly and maternal figures among rocaille scrolls and foliage seated about the drum-shaped clock case and pierced aperture, the sides with frolicking putti playing instruments and stringing garlands, edged by reeded Ionic columns, the rectangular stand with a radiating mask of Apollo flanked by chimera headed scrolls, the sides with figures emblematic of the Seasons, raised on four gadrooned ball feet
