The oval bowl painted with a continuous river landscape depicting Bacchic attendants and putti, the reverse with shepherdesses seated amongst their flock, beneath a gilt fleur de lys panelled border, within shaped rim, mounted on a gilt-metal garlanded tazza issuing two seven-light branches with foliate bobêche and leafy drip-pans, supported by two scantily draped kneeling Bacchic putti, above an oval form blue-ground frieze centered by an oval HL monogram within a tooled gilt cartouche issuing a continuous floral garland, on a four-scroll spreading base
