COMPARATIVE LITERATURE:
Dr F.G. Alan Shenton, The Eureka Clock, Horological Books, 1999, p.95; Crum and Keller ed., 150 Years of Electric Horology, NAWCC Chapter 125, 1992, p.27.
In a contemporary Asprey sales catalogue the Madelaine case is the second most expensive Eureka at £8.18.6, twice as expensive as the cheapest model. It is consequently rarer than other Eureka models and this example has the added attraction of retaining its original gilding.
