Lot Essay

The National Museum of Photography, Film & Television, Bradford holds the negative and some prints. According to Larry J. Schaaf, one of these prints (1937-3940) has the photographer's number '317', which also appears in a list of negatives in the William Henry Fox Talbot Trust. This is one of several known prints in private hands.
