Watercolour on paper, depicting the young broom leading his covered bride away after the ceremony, inscribed below in pencil 'the bridegroom taking his bride to his house, kinswomen singing behind them and the curtain held up apon them by two men, one of which wanted to be a married man and the other a bachelor,' mounted -- 8 5/8in. x 7½in. (21.8cm. x 19cm.)
