A FINE CARVED WHITE JADE FIGURE OF MAGU
QING DYNASTY, 19TH CENTURY
The figure of the female Daoist immortal modelled wearing long voluminous robes, holding a lingzhi sprig in one hand and a long spray of peonies over one shoulder, the leaves and large blossoms spilling across to the other side with the flower on the end resting atop the head of a crane standing beside Magu in front of ornamental rockwork and plantain, the stone of an even white tone with a small area of amber inclusions
