A Chinese export lacquer tea caddy, 19th century
of rectangular form with canted corners, raised on shaped supports, decorated in gilt with panels illustrating various stages of the tea manufacturing and trading process, the interior with two pewter containers with covers -- 12½in. (31.8cm.) wide.
