SWISS. A CHARMING GOLD, ENAMEL AND PEARL-SET LAMB-FORM VERGE WATCH WITH CONCEALED DIAL
Unsigned, circa 1840
With gilt brass verge movement, chain fusée, three arm balance, pierced and engraved cock, conical balance, silvered regulator disc, the white enamel dial with Arabic numerals, pierced gold hands, concealed within a lamb-form case, depicting a recumbent lamb in very finely painted polychrome enamel to both sides, a seed pearl collar around its neck and in a scroll motif beneath, also painted on the reverse is a straw hat holding freshly picked flowers, with engraved band and split seed pearl-set pendant, the small button at the base of the pendant revealing the dial when pressed, unsigned
