A George IV soufflé dish
of tapering circular form, on leaf-capped lion's paw feet and with a gadroon, shell and foliate rim and two lion's mask, flute, foliate and shell handles, the body later-chased with classical figures with putti, urns of fruit, a fountain with birds and arabesques incorporating a vacant shield-shaped cartouche supported by two putti and with birds above, William Bateman, London 1835 - 12½in. (31.75cm.) overall, 43.25oz.
