the tall slender trumpet-shaped vases applied with two classically-draped figures emblematic of 'Joy' and 'Sorrow' typically modelled holding doves above circular bases moulded with Renaissance-style bosses, enriched in a limited palette and gilt on a blush-ivory-ground, printed and impressed marks, printed numerals 1891 and date codes for 1896 -- 12½in.
