Two Berlin (Schumann) porcelain dark-blue-ground plates
both painted with views of Venice, each titled to the reverse Basilique de s. Marc. a Venise and Pont de Rialto a Venise, within gilt fluted wells, the borders gilt with flowers and scrolling leaves below white and gilt rims moulded with foliage, underglaze blue and impressed marks -- 9¼in. (23.6cm.) diam., circa 1860 (some wear to wells)
