Of circular section stamped with a portcullis, above the legend 'Established 1717', the edge labeled 'Westminster Fire Office', the back engraved with an inscription within an acorn and oak leaf band,
1 5/8 in. (4.1 cm.) diameter

The inscription reads: 'James Hastie Esqr Director 1797 & 1798'
