A GREEK MARBLE HEAD OF A GODDESS
HELLENISTIC PERIOD, CIRCA 3RD CENTURY B.C.
With soft youthful features, her almond-shaped lidded eyes unarticulated, the modelled brows merging with the straight nose, her fleshy lips slightly parted and indented at the corners, the center-parted hair with the sides pulled back over the ears and bound in a headcloth covering most of the chignon; together with a Holy Land pottery jug, Middle Bronze Age, circa 1850-1550 B.C.
