The lid opening to reveal a set of Palais Royal implements comprising: four mother-of-pearl "snowflake" winders;
a mother-of-pearl thimble;
two gold-topped scent bottles;
a stiletto;
a mother-of-pearl and steel pair of scissors;
a bodkin; a mother-of-pearl handled dip pen;
a mother-of-pearl handled pencil holder;
a needlecase;
a silver and mother-of-pearl toothbrush;
and a further implement, probably an ear-spoon;
the plush interior incorporating an integral embroidered pin cushion -- length of box 11ins. (28cms.)
