The winding arbor concealed behind the female front mount, on ebonised plinth and under glass dome, with enamel chapter ring, the single barrel movement with single pallet pinwheel escapement and countwheel strike on bell below operated by a hammer with long arbor, the great wheel with five Y-frame crossings; steel rod pendulum with brass lenticular bob and knife edge suspension, lacking winding key
