Laurent-Perrier, Cuvée Grand Siècle Three Vintage Blend

The cuvée Grand Siécle from Laurent-Perrier is truly one of Champagnes great wines, an equivalent if you will, to Krug's Grande-Cuvée. What makes this Champagne such a treasure is the extreme lengths that Laurent-Perrier go to; only grand cru grapes, minimum of seven years on its lees and a manual disgorgement process to assess each bottle indivually. It was also only the third luxury cuvée to be released after Dom Périgon and Cristal, when it came onto the market with a three vintage blend of the 1952, 1953 and 1955 vintages. It continues to remain a benchmark Champagne and today as well as the three vintage blend, there is also a vintage Brut and Rosé available.
