A rare and Märklin spirit-fired steam 114cm. Ocean Liner
three-funnel version of the de-luxe 5050 handpainted four-funnel liner, usually named 'Augusta Victoria' or 'Mauretania', incorporating significant superstructure and detailed differences including re-arranged accommodation assembly and toplights, two centrally positioned funnels, foward bridge and three funnel base (leading funnel removed and base blanked off), painted in red and black with ivory superstructure and toplights, stamped with port hole and glazing details, the decks in plank-lined tan, steam plant included flat tank vaporising spirit lamp, single-flue horizontal boiler with usual steam fittings and adjustable-weight safety valve, connected to twin vertically-mounted double-acting cylinders with connecting rods and gearing to two propeller shafts --circa 1911, 114cm. long (F-G, considerable overpainting and paint loss, bow names removed, stern name overpainted, enclosed wheel house and elaborate rigging and stay lines added, capstan wheel replaced, life boats and flags missing and some damage including two pairs of vertically-drilled holes to port and starboard midship hullsides, two fixing holes in funnel deck and some dents, mast mountings repaired, steam plant lacks rod dog clutch link)
