Compare the current vase with two identical from the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam, illustrated in C.J.A. Jörg, Chinese Ceramics in the Collection of the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam - The Ming and the Qing Dynasties, Amsterdam 1997, p.201, pl.224 ; and from the Dresden Museum, Germany, illustrated in Pr. E. Zimmermann, Chinesisches Porzelian Und Die Ubrigen Keramischen Erzeugnisse Chinas, Leipzig 1923, p.117.
Although the shape is clearly Chinese, the colour scheme copies the rich Japanese imari.
