A George I silver oil and vinegar frame
Mark of Paul de Lamerie, London, 1728, Britannia standard
The double octagonal frame on four scroll feet, with moulded borders and scroll handle, the sides pierced with foliate scroll vertical slats highlighted with engraved detail, the rims applied with cherubs' masks, the two bottles each mounted with octagonal collar and cover with short spout, hinged domed cover with button finial and with scroll handle, the bottles replaced, the base engraved with a crest, marked on base, the covers unmarked but engraved with scratchweights '4=0' and '4=6'
