Lot Essay

The area around Killarney became a popular vacationing spot in the early 19th century. The 1820s saw the manufacture of furniture and boxes depicting local tourist attractions, particularly that of Muckross Abbey, which was founded in 1440. Other popular motifs included oak and fern leaves both of which are present on this table
