the complete set of forty etchings with burnished aquatint, 1816, on laid paper, with title page and list of plates, numbered on the title page '0124', from the fifth edition of two hundred copies, published by Circulo de Bellas Artes, Madrid, 1921, each plate with the blindstamp portrait of Goya, mostly full sheets (plates VII, XIX, XX, and XXI trimmed), plates VII, XIX, and XX with a manuscript title in red ink, plates 'F' and 'G' with staining overall, some plates with foxing and pale staining mostly in the margins, a green ink line on the first contents page, other lesser defects, each plate preceded by a title sheet on thin tissue paper (lacking for sheets 6-8 and 23-25), loose within original canvas-covered portfolio, with title on cover and spine (stained and with wear and tear overall); with 15 plates from Los Proverbios, etchings with burnished aquatint, by the same hand, all from the seventh edition (2 portfolios)
