Perrigot Arches, signed in pencil, numbered 76/100, published by the Galerie Simon, Paris, with full margins, the colours perhaps somewhat attenuated, a small repaired (20 mm.) tear at the right sheet edge, very pale time staining at the extreme sheet edges, otherwise in good condition

Lot Essay

Le Vase was Léger's first lithograph. Saphire notes that the colours varied widely throughout the edition, in particular that the colour of the vase was the result of several passages of primary colours, the combination of which was altered during the printing process.
