CIRCA 1730, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARK, IMPRESSED 1 TO FOOTRIM
The centre painted with shaped quatrefoil panels of merchants in conversation at quaysides radiating around a gilt flowerhead on a Böttger-lustre ground with Gitterwerk, with quarter flowerheads to each corner, the border with further similar vignettes within elongated shaped-rectangular cartouches issuing gilt scrolls enclosing Böttger lustre sections and iron-red and purple scrolls, flanked by gilt scrolling foliage and divided by gilt lines, gilt line rim, the underside with indianische Blumen to each corner and scattered sprigs, the footrim with a gilt band (areas of wear to gilt band of foot, very slight wear to gilt rim)
