A wooden chair leg
in the form of a lion's fore-leg, with 'spur' claw at back, the paw resting on tapered support, remains of gesso, pierced tenon for attachment above and small socket on inside of leg for stretcher -- 13 1/8in. (33.2cm.) high, Dynasty XVIII-XIX (1550-1196 B.C.); a similar wooden turned leg from a couch, with mortise and other joint sections -- 16½in. (42cm.) high, Dynasty XX (1196-1070 B.C.); a wooden furniture foot-base, of flared quadrangular form with triple banded collar above -- 5 3/8in. (13.7cm.) high, New Kingdom (1550-1307 B.C.) (3)
