The modest details of history that we have been able to ascertain from this Model 'T' come entirely from the tax disc that adorns its screen.
This very clearly states that the car was registered PB 5877, a Surrey registration number that was only issued between August 1919 and July 1921, which would place the car very clearly as dating from this period. The tax disc is stamped confirming duty paid in East Suffolk and notes the colour, none of which remains evident as being Dark Blue.

It is almost certain that the car has not been on the road since the late 1920s and its condition reflects this being an archetypal 'barn discovery'. Fortunately it does appear to be complete in most respects and so should represent a straightforward restoration.

Special notice
This lot is offered without reserve. No VAT will be charged on the hammer price, but VAT at 17.5% will be added to the buyer's premium, which is invoiced on a VAT inclusive basis.
