One of two New Cardens in the collection, this example still retains its original log book and so we are able to confirm that the car was originally registered, presumably by the manufacturers, in London on the 11th November 1924.

Shortly after this the car was purchased by G. Stevenson of Fletching in Sussex and registered by him there on 24th January 1925. The log book states that Mr Stevenson kept the New Carden for one quarter of a century before selling it to Derek Baddeley of Tadworth in Surrey. Three months later Mr Baddeley sold the car to the noted collector Alan W.F. Smith initially of Mayfield, East Sussex and later Cross-in-Hand, Sussex.

Upon Mr Smith's death his entire collection was presented for sale by auction, and when the sale took place, it was acquired there by Reg Taverner for or later selling the car to the Sharpe Family for their collection. Although in need of attention even at this time, no work has been undertaken and the car remains in sound but unrestored order.
The car retains its old and modern log books, and was last taxed in 1950.
