Lot Essay

These panels with a symmetrical decoration in the Louis XIV style, are based on textile patterns published around 1703 from the series Patrons d'Etoffes et de Velours by the architect Daniel Marot (1661-1752) For comparable panels see also H. Glass, Bedeutende Ledertapeten, Essen 1998, p. 171.
