A 19th-Century English composite drawing set,
several pieces signed J. Watkins London the tray containing various compasses, dividers and pens, two with ivory handles, one stamped ELLIOT, a pair of proportional dividers signed and a rectangular protractor, both signed Watkins, a brass parallel rule, a turned ivory container for the spiked wheels and a (later) aluminium tube for pencil leads, also containing beneath the tray two semi-circular protractors, one signed ELLIOT, a sector signed by Watkins, and an (earlier) pair of gunner's calipers signed WATKINS Charing Cross London with scales for brass and iron guns, powder quantities and others, contained in a purple plush-lined fitted mahogany case with brass banding and two brass hooks and pins -- 36.5cm.
