CARY'S NEW TERRESTRIAL GLOBE DELINEATED From the best Authorities extant; Exhibiting the late Discoveries towards the NORTH POLE, and every improvement in Geography to the present Time. Strand London Jan1.1816 made up of two sets of twelve hand-coloured engraved split gores laid to the ecliptic poles, the axis through the celestial poles, with graduated equatorial, colures and ecliptic, the last with twilight zone, the pictorial constellations with stars to seven orders of magnitude with nebulae and variously labelled with initials and numbers (both globes with faint old discolouration throughout and very neat restoration under later varnish);
both with stamped brass hour dial and meridian circle, the mahogany horizon with hand-coloured engraved paper graduated in degrees of amplitude and azimuth, with compass directions, days of the month and days of the houses of the Zodiac (both with neat restorations and later varnish), raised on four curved quadrant supports to a turned column with three inswept legs with cross stretchers to a glazed compass, the engraved paper with thirty-two point wind rose and blued-steel needle -- 67cm.
