Paris, 1750, with the charge and discharge marks of Antoine Leschaudel 1744-1750, later struck with the Austrian duty mark ('Goldrepunze') for Prague, 1806/1807
Rectangular box, the cover, four sides and base inlaid with mother-of-pearl panels incrusted with a regular pattern of gold pellets and applied with scattered quintufoils, the petals partly engine-turned with reeding or scalework, some enamelled in translucent green, the cagework mounts engraved with diagonal reeding and chased with trailing foliage, the interior of gold
