FIRST EDITION. The Grolier Club catalogues "Langland to Wither" and its successor "Wither to Prior" were valuable early contributions to the bibliography of Elizabethan and other old English literature. For a long time they were among the most frequently cited references in the field, as they give collations and illustrate numerous title-pages. The entries are all based on copies owned at the time by Grolier Club members. The edition was limited to 400 copies on Holland paper and THREE COPIES ON VELLUM.
