Specially bound by Paul Adam: contemporary half pigskin gilt, patterned-cloth-covered boards, edges gauffred, endleaves decorated with arabesque stamps including Adam's initial "A" (some minor light rubbing). Provenance: A.E. Bogeng, author of Die Grossen Bibliophilen (presentation inscription from the author/collector); Martin Breslauer (autograph postcard from Schoeller laid-in).

FIRST EDITION, A FINE PRESENTATION COPY, inscribed by Schoeller to Dr. A.E. Bogeng in 1916. Laid-in is Georg Witkowski's obituary of Schoeller. The catalogue consists of illustrated German books of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. The collection was shown in the bibliophile section of the book and graphic exhibition, Leipzig 1914.
