A belt of brown leather tooled with a foliate motif and a Jack Of Spades playing card design, the sterling silver belt buckle similarly engraved with a Jack Of Spades playing card motif and applied with the letters MB in relief, the reverse of the buckle engraved FROM THE CREW AND CAST; accompanied by a black and white photograph (printed later) of Brando receiving the belt as a gift during the wrap party for One-Eyed Jacks, 4 June, 1959 -- 10x8in. (20.3x25.4cm.)

Lot Essay

This belt buckle was a gift from the cast and crew following the completion of One-Eyed Jacks. It was presented to Brando during the wrap party along with a caricature of a plump Brando captioned We hope it fits! - some of the photographs of the party in lot 288 show Brando being presented with the belt and the caricature.
