Of demi-lune form with semi-circular silvered barometer scale to the front with barometer hand and recording hand, the gilt top finely engraved with scrolling foliage with a central blank cartouche, mercurial thermometer to the slant and manual calendar to the top layer with further foliate engraving on a silvered field
