The brass-lined case with brass bandle to the break-arch top applied with three brass-lined rectangular pads, the sides set with finely pierced and engraved foliate sound frets with red silk linings, the brass-bound base on small bracket feet, white enamel chapter disc signed Tregent London with Roman and Arabic chapters and delicate blued steel hands, spandrels cast with foliage and a mask addorned with a plumed headdress, subsidiary enamel rings in the arch for strike/silent and pendulum regulation, the five pillar twin gut fusee movement with verge escapement - the pendulum suspended from a regulation bar with cam wheel adjustment, hour strike on a bell above the plates, the backplate engraved with flowers and scrolling foliage, similarly engraved securing brackets and pendulum holdfast
