PROBABLY BERLIN, CIRCA 1840, COIN MARKS IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE
Each of baluster form and with domed cover surmounted by a cockerel, decorated in imitation of Chinese lacquer with figures in exotic landscapes and foliate sprays with birds and insects, divided by grotesques and strapwork reserves, the base rim with stylised half flower heads and leaf-tips, the underside with coin mark in underglaze blue
