A façon-de-Venise reliquary-vase and a cover
The vase 16th century, probably Venice, the cover 17th century, probably Netherlands
The vase with cylindrical neck, the globular body applied with three bearded grotesque masks alternating with prunts and linked by two horizontal bands, on a hollow tapering oviform stem moulded with three lion masks linked by garlands with basal merese, conical folded foot, remains of granular gilding to moulded and applied ornament and footrim turquoise beads lacking the high domed cover with a moulded reeded knop finial applied with three turquoise prunts (top of finial lacking)
