CIRCA 1750, PERHAPS SILESIAN
The slender oviform bowl with a gilt rim and engraved with a coat-of-arms of a shield with three leaves surmounted by the crest of a helmet with plumes and flanked by ermine-backed mantling, the reverse with the monogram MVDP within foliage scrolls, on a hollow knopped stem (slight wear to gilding)

According to paper labels to the base, the '.. Arms are those of Von Der Pahlen, of the Baltic Provinces of Russia The Crest of Koskull, a branch of Pahlen'; another label is for Churchill Glass; and another for the B.A.D.A.
