An engraved white-metal mounted ewer
CIRCA 1770, BOHEMIA OR GERMANY
Of flattened oviform, with c-scroll handle and tall slender neck, the foot with metal mount and the neck with a ball thumbpiece and hinged cover, engraved to each side with putti emblematic of 'Fire' and 'Air' the first , one flanked by pillars and scrolls and the other beneath a baldaquin and flanked by bouquets (mounts slightly damaged)
