the rectangular case with fluted pediment surmounted by an urn with beaded mounts (part missing) with budding finial, flanked by plain tapering columns with Ionic capitals and lotus bud finials, on breakfront base with recessed panel with laurel wreath mounts and bun feet, the white enamel Roman and Arabic dial with pierced gilt-metal hands signed Filon A PARIS (some staining over VIII), the twin going barrel movement with countwheel strike on bell -- 12¼in.(31.5cm.) high
