A Napoleonic prisoner of war model of a 90-gun ship
the hull and the deck of the model are planked in bone over a wood plug, the topsides are pierced and cut-out for the gun ports. At the bow is the figurehead of a warrior brandishing a sword, and along the head rails are carved and incised with an elongated fish. At the stern are carved and pierced quarter galleries and an elaborately carved transom with naiads and the faces of cherubs. The decks are fitted with anchors, rail guns, stove pipes, pin and fife rails, belfry, ladders, carved railings with draperie motif, ship's boats swung out off the spars, deck gratings, cannons on carriages, flagstaff and many other details. Rigged with bow sprit, bound masts, cross spars, stun'sail booms, standing and running rigging, trees and tops, and other rigging details. Displayed on a pair of turned bone pedestals within a brass bound glass case with mahogany base
