The brush-rest modelled as an old man and his young attendant pouring a jug of wine through a piece of fabric into a jar on an undulating base, 17th century, 4¾ in. (12 cm.) long; the vessel of archaistic shape with a loop handle and cast around the body with taotie masks on a key-pattern ground, 18th century, 4¼ in. (10.8 cm.) wide
