A Sino-Tibetan gilt-damascened iron document holder, 17th/18th Century
with an eight-sided cylindrical form shaft finely incised with scrolling leaves on a punchwork ground, the two fitted sections with attached small carrying loops and with an ornately cast floriform terminal - 14 7/8in. (37.7cm.) long.
